The ingenious ideas of Rupert Sheldrake are considered pseudoscientific by orthodox science, because they have no physical legitimacy. This legitimation can be provided by the transition of quantum mechanics from atomistic terminology to neural terminology. Based on a physical foundation, Sheldrake's teachings will indeed become the cornerstone of the science of the future, in which the prospect of numerical modeling of morphogenesis processes in the language of SQL databases opens up.

Rupert Sheldrake proposed a generalization and extrapolation of the idea of a physical field from physics to biology and sociology [1]. Just as electromagnetic interaction creates atoms and molecules from individual particles, a new type of field - a morphogenetic field - creates complex biomolecules from individual atoms, then creates cells. From cells - tissues and organisms, from organisms - families and social structures.
These ideas caused a sharp rejection in orthodox science, their author was declared a pseudoscientist, despite the previously deserved degrees and titles. The grounds for groundless snobbery are the same [2] - the impossibility of describing the morphogenetic field within the framework of the atomistic picture of the world, in the language of elementary particles, which supposedly should describe any manifestation of our Universe.
The decisive weakness of Sheldrake's position is his use of atomistic terminology in the form of the very concept of "field". In this position, any promising idea inevitably loses. Indeed, if there is a field - where are its particles, where are its bosons and fermions? What are his Feynman diagrams? There is no information about the nature and origin of these morphogenetic fields and no proposals for studying the ways of their distribution. And since they do not exist, it means that there cannot be any morphogenetic field, and all this is pseudoscience.
Sheldrake writes that traditional biology is still based on mechanistic ideas that have long been rejected in physics itself. But why is this so? Why aren't quantum ideas extrapolated from physics to biology? It"s not a matter of someone"s ill will or stupidity, but the use of atomistic terminology. All biomolecules are very large, their physical properties are quasi-classical, and quantum effects are averaged to some real coefficients. And here comes the ancient subconscious atomistic conviction that physical properties are responsible for everything in the world. Since physics is classical, it means that the whole object is classically mechanistic and there is no talk.
To break this prejudice is possible only on the basis of a fundamentally different, non-atomistic terminology, for example, neural terminology, in which the Universe is represented as a multilayer neural network. In this network, the physical object corresponds to the simplest three-address layer. This layer has been specially prepared almost closed, just as a physical object intended for research should be closed. For example, it has only one input link - a source of particles, and a set of output links - detectors of scattering of these particles on two slits. Naturally, all these connections, like neural signals, are complex number quantities, that is, they are represented by pairs of real numbers. This physical layer has its own state change algorithm corresponding to the Schrödinger equation [3]. To describe this algorithm in the simplest cases of the physical layer, it is very convenient and clear to use the concepts of a particle, wave, Feynman diagrams, etc. But in neural terminology, it becomes obvious that these atomistic concepts are not something fundamental, but only stable illusions arising in the internal subject of a neural network when observing processes in the physical layers. In the higher neuron layers, these illusions fade away with the need to use atomistic terminology. For applied physics, neural terminology only complicates, clutters up the task and is hardly of interest, except in very fundamental problems [4]. However, the generalization of quantum ideas and their extrapolation to the field of biology or sociology becomes much more convincing. For example, to explain the processes of morphogenesis there is no need to use the term "morphogenetic field". Instead, we can assume the presence of higher neural layers with more advanced addressing and algorithmic state change than the physical layers. They can be called morphogenetic layers (MGL). These layers are not directly observed in the physical three-dimensional space, but their presence is manifested indirectly - if the MGL is associated with the physical layer, neural signals from the MGL can change the states of "physical" neurons and, thus, embody in the observed world the biological and social forms.
Thus, in neural terminology, instead of a vague, atomistic in origin concept - "morphogenetic field", the concept of a morphogenetic neural layer is proposed, which is specifically programmed as a database in the SQL language. Let us emphasize that such an extrapolation will be precisely a physical extrapolation - not esoteric and no other - because, in the MGL, with their all possible diversity, a single principle of state change is preserved, the same as in the physical layers.
At each step of the universal neurocomputer, all neurons are sorted out, the state of the network is assessed, and a decision is made, expressed in the form of neural signals. For the physical layer, the assessment of the state and the choice of the solution are the most primitive - for example, the address of the detector - the neuron that will receive the excitation signal - is arbitrarily chosen. The rest of the detectors will remain silent at this step. This is similar to how in a chess program, at the most primitive level, an admissible move is equally likely to be chosen - without any calculations or estimates. But in the highest MGLs, nothing limits the possibility of both calculations and virtual estimates - up to the grandmaster level and even higher - to world champions and even to Robert Fischer.
MGLs can accumulate the memory of previous decisions, taking into account all their real consequences. This memory, as Sheldrake teaches, is not localized neither in the brain, no in general in some specific address of the observed world. The illusion of space-time arises in a neural subject only when observing physical layers [6].
The memory of the MGL belongs to the higher neural layers that do not know such illusions. At the same time, the brain does not really look like a tape recorder, but rather, according to the figurative analogy proposed by Sheldrake, a radio receiver. This legitimizes the most controversial (according to the author himself) part of Sheldrake's teachings - the memory of morphic fields.
If the physical neural layer is not closed, if the states and connections of its neurons are controlled by some MGL, we can conclude that some personality entity from the invisible world (simply put, the soul) controls the observed physical body until these connections are broken.
If some MGLs correspond to the observed organisms, nothing prevents the formation of additional neural connections between them. In this case, an already generalized personality is created in the form of a generalized MGL. This generalized personality, again, is not directly observed in the form of a separate individual, but is indirectly manifested, for example, in the behavior of collective insects [5]. In a similar way, it is possible to substantiate the concept of the collective unconscious in more developed individuals. Moreover, as Sheldrake teaches, individual and collective memory have the same nature, specifically represented in neural terminology in the form of a SQL database.
In Sheldrake's teachings, an important role is played by the concept of habit developed over time for any system separately and for the entire Universe as a whole. This concept is intended to generalize and expand the concept of strict and unchanging mathematical laws of nature. Let us consider how this concept is translated into neural language using the simplest example of a particle with spin 1/2 [3]. Here the particle's habit is expressed as a separate multiplication table of basic quaternions - Qwat. For example, each electron of the Universe at each step refers to this table as to a dispatcher and receives an answer - what to do in the future. Naturally, such conversions occur outside the categories of space - time [6]. That is, this table can be considered within the framework of various worldviews as a personal entity or, simply put, as the soul of an electron - as a generalized personality for all observed particles. Of course, these are too loud words for an electron - his soul is very primitive - in 16 lines. But when generalizing, when extrapolating this table to the area of higher MGLs - jokes aside. In the upper strata, it is quite possible to gradually build such a table as a matrix of accumulated decisions, where both individual organisms and generalized individuals will apply. Thus, they will all be provided with some latent non-local integrity.
Thus, in neural terminology, Sheldrake's teachings receive sufficient physical justification and legitimation. On this foundation, the claims of the orthodox about the pseudoscientific nature of his ideas become pitiful and insignificant. And the new life science opens up a broad perspective of modeling the processes of emergence and development of morphogenetic neural layers on a regular SQL server, without the use of supercomputers.
