I had a dream I was a sword,
Imprisoned in a metal, cold,
I felt myself completely placid
I was not wandering at all
Of dream I had - I was a sword.
Above a someone's head I soared
And fell, indifferent and bored.
I was condemned to pay this toll.
I had a dream I was a sword
A judge, a butcher and a lord,
Last candle and a dying chord
For miserable human's soul.
Unmovable, I stood as ward.
Entwined by fate and human's lot
I was - and will - to be a hot
Creation's foundation stone!
What fool I was! Bequiled and proud
I dreamed of naught and wanted naught.
And punishment was my reward!
...I had a dream I was a sword
And I have awakened once.
