Naturally, they stopped working. If there is no desire, no wish, then there is nothing to be fulfilled. We are part of higher order systems through our extrasomatic consciousness, and this part of us is preserved after the disintegration of our body system, that is, after death we are not completely destroyed, and what remains has the power of metamorphosis. In addition, we are entangled with other worlds, and these entanglements are constantly re-entangled, forming another system, which is also partially preserved after death.
