АТОМНАЯ СКАЗКА
Эту сказку счастливую слышал
Я уже на теперешний лад,
Как Иванушка во поле вышел
И стрелу запустил наугад.
Он пошёл в направленьи полёта
По сребристому следу судьбы.
И попал он к лягушке в болото,
За три моря от отчей избы.
-Пригодится на правое дело! -
Положил он лягушку в платок.
Вскрыл ей белое царское тело
И пустил электрический ток.
В долгих муках она умирала,
В каждой жилке стучали века.
И улыбка познанья играла
На счастливом лице дурака.

THE ATOMIC AGE FAIRY TALE
I have heard that this tale`s happy ending
Has been changed in a quite modern way.
It`s the tale of Prince Ivan who at random
Shot his arrow to seek his fiancée.
He went where his arrow had showed,
On the silver trail of his sweet fate.
And fetched up at a frog who sank low
In her bog far from Ivan`s estate.
`Gonna stand me in good stead, I swear!`
Ivan packed the frog in his map case.
He dissected her body aware
And connected her limbs with the cables.
Suffering torments the frog had been dying,
Every torture for her seemed an age.
But the smile of cognition was shining
On the Ivan the Fool`s happy face.
