A cautious postage stamp. A story for children about Seryozha.
At last, by the invitation of the Philatelists Club, the baby-the owner of the Mauritius blue arrived.
Seryozha was presenting a lecture on philately at the Club.
Everyone listened with attention and applauded. It was a clear success.
Concluding the lecture, Seryozha remembered the convincing action of one of his friends.
This friend was looking at stamp albums with kids a few days ago.
One of the kids discovered that a valuable stamp from his album was missing.
This kid began to look suspiciously at those present.
The rest of the kids were very embarrassed and began to look for the missing postage stamp under the table, on the floor.
Seryozha's friend stood up decisively, turned out his pockets and showed that he did not have a valuable stamp, he did not take this stamp.
It looked convincing.
Everyone decided, that the kid or put his valuable postage stamp in the wrong place and would soon discover it, or that he had managed to lose it himself.
Yes, it looked convincing!
Having listened to well-deserved applause after the end of the lecture, Seryozha took out a Certificate of Honor from the folder. He solemnly announced:
- The Council for Impeccable Morals in the Sphere of Philately awarded our Club with this Certificate of Honor for a honesty! We don't need other people's postage stamps! We act honestly!
Applause rang out again.
The lecture ended at 17:00.
A private tea party was scheduled to begin at 17:30. There were plans of a viewing of stamp albums, including the album of the baby-owner of the Mauritius blue.
At 17:30 Seryozha and other postage stamp fans gathered at a table on which stood a samovar, cups of tea and sweet pies.
At that moment, news came that the baby-owner of the Mauritius blue had suddenly departed back, to his home.
Seryozha shook his head in displeasure. He addressed those present:
- A passion for collecting of postage stamps dates back several centuries. There were different situations. Does anyone have any ideas?
Someone of present hesitantly took a sweet pie from the plate.
