Black Sea birds, Masha, Caspian seals. A story.
Masha's mother worked in a position of worker in one of Anapa's sanatoriums.
Masha's mother had a friend, Lucy. Lucy also worked in the similar position at the same sanatorium. Masha and Nelya (Lucy's little daughter) often were walking to the Black Sea coast. Masha showed Nelya the birds, and raised Nelya as best she could. Nelya was smiling to Masha and was laughing. Little Nela liked to walk and play with Masha.
After completing her studies in a secondary school, Masha began studying to become a specialist in a preschool education.
Masha did not tolerate the classes well. She sat in class and could not understand what the teachers were talking about, how these truths could be applied in a preschool education.
When the terrible news came about the contamination of part of the Black Sea coast with fuel oil, Masha joined the ranks of volunteers and began to rescue birds and to clean up the coast.
Masha enjoyed working in a large team. In addition, the volunteers were not left without public attention: Masha began to receive new things (clothes and shoes), she began to eat much better than at home (when she was a schoolgirl).
In the evenings, the volunteers spent time in collective creative activities. Masha liked to sing in chorus to the guitar.
Several times, in Masha's presence, serious boys and girls started talking about political topics, at the same time they looked at Masha attentively. But Masha wasn't able to participate in these conversations, she only blinked.
When a Big Man arrived who praised Masha and rewarded her, Masha did not have a question: why was she chosen for praise and for a reward? If this is done, then it's the right thing to do. Masha said, "Thank you!" in a tiny voice.
Masha felt sad when she thought that she would soon have to return to educational process, to unbearably boring (for Masha) classes.
But the news came about the mass death of the red book Caspian seals. Masha, as an award-winning person, easily solved all the problems associated with joining a volunteer group rescuing Caspian seals. And one of Masha's friends said that Masha can get a document of education (on the qualification of a specialist in preschool education) in much the same way that outstanding champions in sports, who are defending the honor of an educational institution, receive university diplomas. Masha wanted to believe in such possibility. She so much wanted to do something useful, and she was afraid to imagine how much bored she would be during classes.
Soon Masha and several children started for a bus trip to the Caspian Sea shore. On the way, they sang patriotic and romantic songs in a quiet chorus to the guitar. Soon Masha will find herself in a large team: useful work during the day time and collective creative activities in the evenings.
