Lenya Bobrov is writing an essay about the Autobiography by Boris Lavrenyov. A story.

Lenya Bobrov is writing an essay about the Autobiography by Boris Lavrenyov. A story.

After reading a number of materials about Boris Lavrenyov, including "A short story about myself" and "Autobiography" written by Boris Lavrenyov himself, Lenya Bobrov decided to write an essay about Boris Lavrenyov.

Lenya called the essay: 'Boris Lavrenyov writes about his ancestors along the line of Xavier Tsekhanovich.'

Lenya positioned the keyboard more comfortably and began typing:

'Boris Lavrenyov received the (second) Stalin Prize for his play "The Voice of America" (written in 1949).

It's a honorary award. A financial security also does not hurt - for the noble people of the Land of the Soviets.

A reputable publishing house insists on the release of selected works.

Boris Lavrenyov is in no hurry to answer, but, nevertheless, he agrees.

The publisher asks to write an autobiography.

A bearers of golden shoulder straps, police provocateurs, tzarist gendarmes and other categories that are subject to identification and repression are well known.

  Population have to be careful.

'According to the accepted custom, a normal biography of a person of our era should begin with personal data and explain, without omissions, what the ancestors were doing during the past century.

In order to avoid misunderstandings, I inform you right away that I do not include among my ancestors: police officers, gendarmerie captains, prosecutors of military district courts and ministers of internal affairs." [unofficial translation]

A good wording: "during the past century" ... This interval includes both the Boris Lavrenyov's relatives numerous imperceptible departures [leaves] into the graves, as well as his widely known revolutionary past.

He can mention the period between Ivan IV and Peter the Great - thanks to writer Alexei Nikolayevich Tolstoy. One can talk about the participation of ancestors in the Crimean War (1853-1856) without fear - in this matter, academician Yevgeny Tarle should be thanked.

'But on the maternal side there are Streletsky colonels under Alexei Mikhailovich [Alexis of Russia] and duma clerks [high-level employees] who conducted diplomatic negotiations with the Circassians under Peter I - the Esaulovs, and other military people, including my grandfather (mentioned in the 2nd volume of "The Crimean War" by Academician Tarle), commander of the Yenikalsk coastal battery Xavier Tsekhanovich." [unofficial translation]

Lenya is a man with a fantasy.

  He models a reality.

"Boris Lavrenyov settled into an armchair in his office in the House on the Embankment.

His past life hasn't been bad.

Somehow it is not good to forget about the ancestors. In the past, times were extremely dangerous. But now times have changed, and Boris Lavrenyov feels himself very confident.

The hero of Sevastopol, a participant in the Crimean War, Xavier Tsekhanovich had outstanding ancestors.

According to family legend, one of his ancestors fought under the command of Tadeusz Kosciuszko in the United States.

There Tsekhanovich received the rank of colonel, returned with Tadeusz Kosciuszko to Europe ...

Apparently, Xavier Tsekhanovich, whose military track record is kept in the archives, has retained his freedom-loving beliefs. It seems, that the disappearance of Xavier Tsekhanovich chronologically correlates with the uprising of 1863 on the territory of the Commonwealth.

Boris Lavrenyov stops his memories. All this was a long time ago, and the Stalin Prize (second) was awarded almost yesterday. Moreover, he was awarded the Prize for the play "Voice of America".

  He's writing:

'... Xavier Tsekhanovich. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about my father's ancestors, because, having lost his parents at the age of one and a half years, he was brought up by strangers and in boarding schools. So, he did not able to preserve family traditions." [unofficial translation]

Further, in accordance with the principle of historical justice, a positive statement must be made.

'From what has been said, it can be understood that the ancestors did not have particularly harmful influences on the formation of my personality.' [unofficial translation]

Now he can move on to the events in the life of Boris Lavrenyov himself (from his own life). Here - everything is much simpler ...

The Autobiography is completed in half an hour.

If historians will be interested in the fate of the ancestors of Xavier Tsekhanovich, they will be able to find a "reference point" and to conduct an investigation...

Boris Lavrenyov goes to the window and looks at the Moscow River. Probably, once his ancestor Tsekhanovich admired the Hudson River... ".

Lenya rereads his essay. Most of the essay was invented, but he, Lenya, as a creative person, has the right to fantasy.

Lenya posts his essay on the Internet...
