Liu Jingning asked, staring into the mirror. "But it doesn't matter, really. They will all die, and it will be all because of you! Jiang Hong Yan, you really are destined to be unhappy! Even your name means beauty that will bring disaster to your beloved… it shows clearly that anyone who is involved with you will always lose their life for you!" Liu Jingning sneered.

     Hearing this, Hong Yan said gently, "It is you who should be worried. Your soldiers will be defeated by him! Liu Jingning, if you do not want all your soldiers to die, I suggest you leave now!"

     "Nonsense!" Liu Jingning turned around and laughed hard, as if she had heard a funny joke.

     The Water Empress shook her head and smiled.

     The two stopped talking and stared into the mirror together.

     Amongst all the people around them, Xu Que was the tallest. His cheeky personality did not seem at all compatible with his gentle appearance.

     Although it seemed like Situ was the one leading the soldiers, in actual fact, Xu Que was their true leader.

     Before landing, they had loosened their fabric wings and taken out their long spears, attacking the soldiers of the Ice Troops the moment they neared the ground.

     The soldiers of the Ice Troops had not been prepared for this at all. There were only a few hundred soldiers patrolling the city wall, and they had never expected such a thing to happen.

     Soon, hundreds of soldiers under the Ice Queen's command were killed.

     Xu Que held his eight-star sword in his hand and attacked, felling most of the soldiers himself. Although he could not use his True Core Strength, he was still able to easily kill the enemy, cutting through their lines as if they were a pile of mud. Then he used his Lone Nine Swords technique until they were almost completely crushed.

     In very little time, the last soldier of the Ice Troops fell. Xu Que stepped over his body and shouted, "Now, who still wants to fight me?

     "Who?" all the soldiers of Snow City shouted in unison.

     They felt extremely excited, having so easily killed all the patrolling soldiers. Situ proudly stood upon the city wall, holding her weapon, Fang Tian Ji, in her hand. Her eyes were full of exhilaration.

     After seeing what Xu Que had done, she now felt very confident in their ability to win this battle.

     "How dare you!" came a shout. A very strong man stepped out of the camp. Wearing ice armour, he was at Level 4 of the Infant Transformation Stage, and looked ferociously powerful despite having no access to his True Core Strength.

     "How dare you! My fellows, let's kill them all!" the strong man shouted, gesturing wildly his hand.

     In the blink of an eye, countless soldiers of the Ice Troops came pouring out of the camp and assembled themselves into a battle formation.

     Since it was already late at night, most of the soldiers had previously been resting. After hearing the strong man's order, however, they had hurriedly gotten up. Some of them were still wearing ice armour.

     Xu Que shouted, "Shoot your arrows!"

     "Yes!"

     All the soldiers of Snow City quickly let loose their arrows.

     In one sudden movement, the arrows flew towards the soldiers of the Ice Troops like falling rain.

     Countless soldiers of the Ice Troops died then and there, before getting close to the city wall. Without the help of True Core Strength, most could not withstand the arrows.

     Most importantly, Xu Que was now already occupying the city wall.

     "Shoot! Do not stop! Right! Let's shoot them to death! Shoot them in their faces!" Xu Que stood on the city wall, shouting encouragement.

     Meanwhile, he summoned his System and purchased many containers of burning oil with his Acting Tough Points.

     "A young man who is at Level 10 of the Infant Transformation Stage. He is accompanied by three thousand soldiers. I am not sure if he has other reinforcements," the guard replied.

     Still, they had no choice but to follow his order, and began to back away.

     Buttface was the one running the fastest. He shouted, "Everyone, run, or else you shall be punished!"

     Then Xu Que smiled and took out a grenade from his pocket.

     He pulled off the iron ring, turned around and threw it towards the city wall.

     Seeing that all the soldiers were running away, the bowmen were confused. They had never been in a situation like this before.

     "I saw that young man throw something toward us. Did you see what that thing is?"

     "It's too small, I didn't catch it."

     "Never mind. Out city wall is protected by the Protection Array."

     "Someone should report this to the governor and tell him that the enemy has run away."

     "I will go," a bowman said, preparing to depart.

     Meanwhile the grenade struck the city wall, but was blocked by the light screen of the city wall.

     The grenade exploded. The force of the huge explosion shook the Protection Array slightly.

     "What's going on? What hit the wall?"

     "Never mind. It's fine, now the governor will probably be more willing to believe that we have gone through a tough battle."

     Meanwhile, ten tanks were beginning to crawl forward, and ten helicopters were taking off.

     Xu Que looked at him and smiled. "If you manage to carry all the bombs to the city wall, I will permit you to fly one."

     "Promise!" Buttface said happily.

     Then Xu Que took out two thousand camouflage uniforms, as well as two thousand pairs of sunglasses. He handed them out to the remaining soldiers.

     "Put them on and follow me!"

     All of a sudden, they all started to put on the camouflage uniforms.

     "Once you've got the uniform on, the enemy will find it very difficult to distinguish you from the terrain, since the print on the fabric blends in very well."

     The helicopters and tanks were about to reach to the city wall. Seeing this, Xu Que quickly ran towards the city wall along with Buttface.

     He had already tested the Protection Array and realized that it could be destroyed with modern weapons. That was why he had ordered Buttface to carry ten tons of bombs with him.

     Xu Que smiled. "Hurry up. Put all the bombs in the corners of the city wall, and remember—don't make it too obvious."

     "No problem!" Buttface got very excited.

Yang's list was Bi Xi, Chi Wen or Chao Feng, Pu Lao, Bi An, Taotie, Qiu Niu, Ya Zi, Suan Ni, and Jiaotu.

     Taotie looked like a wolf and liked to eat. In the past, many people had thought that its head was beautiful and had engraved it on the surface of food and wine containers. In the legend, Taotie liked to eat very much, so the ancients would usually call someone who was greedy about food and money 'Taotie'.

     They could not believe their eyes. After all, no one had ever killed anyone before under the rule of the Water Empress.

     The people around him did not want to get into trouble. They did not say a word.

     The soldiers had no idea what to do and all looked at Young Twelve.

     Young Twelve smiled. "I did!"

     "Oh! Really?" Xu Que smiled back. "Fine. I did kill them. So what?"

     "Well, you have committed a capital crime. You had better come with us!" Young Twelve sneered and ordered the soldiers to catch him.

     "You have got more people on your side, this is really unfair!" Xu Que cursed.

     "To be honest, I sent those odious men out to make trouble for you. You have killed them and broken the law. We have plenty of people, you cannot get out from this!"

     "Oh, I have got more people than you think!" Xu Que was amazed.

     I was just thinking of ways to get enough magic inscriptions, and now you are going to take me to your residence. Haha!

     This room was shielded by a Protection Array, so they could not be heard by people outside.

     Evidently, this middle-aged man was the third Duke, the father of Young Twelve. The woman was his wife.

     The man was dressed like the Emperor of the Water Nation, whilst the woman was dressed like the Empress. Pathetically, they only dared to conduct such activities inside the privacy of their room.

     "It won't take long before we can confidently stand in front of everyone else as the Emperor and the Empress." The third Duke smiled, enjoying the sight of himself in front of a mirror.

     However, the woman complained, "When your elder brother died, you should have taken the opportunity to rebel. If it were not for that woman, you would already be the Emperor now!"

     The third Duke said in a low voice, "It's not my fault. My elder brother suddenly had a daughter. In fact, I'd known all about this, but I'd simply forgotten at that moment.      The third Duke laughed. "Since this morning, my eyelids have not stopped twitching. I felt a bit worried. But after I put on the robe, I finally calmed down. There is only one step between me and the throne now. Once I get the General on my side, the whole of Water Nation will be mine."

     "Of course! But remember to lock Hong Yan up and torture her! She has made our son suffered so much these past few years!" the woman said harshly.

     "Absolutely," the third Duke answered, picturing the Water Empress in his mind. There was lust in his eyes.

     The woman was still resting in his embrace and did not notice this, but she did suddenly feel his erection.

     Seeing her face, the third Duke had to suppress the urge to retch.

     "By the way, I heard that every time the General loots a house, he always knocks on the door first and announces that he will not take a needle or a thread. And do you know what happens? After he goes in, he takes everything away apart from the needles and threads. Haha!" The woman began to laugh. "He is really shameless…"

     They heard someone knocking on the main door.

     The pair stopped laughing.

     Hearing this, he quickly changed out of his robe.

     Meanwhile, Xu Que had rushed into the main hall with his soldiers, trying to figure out where the library was. He wanted to find some magic inscriptions.

     Buttface, however, had simply come here to play. He rushed into any room he liked and bit everything he saw.

     Then inadvertently, he rushed towards the Duke's bedroom. He suddenly stopped in front of the door.

     "Wait, I can sense that this room is under the protection of some kind of array. There must be something good hiding in here."

     Hearing this, the soldiers who had come with him said excitedly, "We should immediately report this to General Zhuge."

     "Stop! It was I who discovered this!" Buttface shouted.

     "What?!" The soldiers were stunned.

     The soldiers were all very loyal to Xu Que, so they wanted the honour of reporting this to Xu Que.

     Aren't you the pet of the General Zhuge? Why you are even less loyal towards him than we are? Are you going to rebel against him?

     Thinking of this, the soldiers all stared at Buttface. One soldier discreetly backed away and prepared himself to run away and report this to Xu Que.

     Seeing this, Buttface explained, "What are you thinking?! I am not that sort of wolf! General Zhuge is so busy now, I think we should get the things out from inside the room first, then we will give them to him as a lovely surprise! What do you think?"

     Butface shouted, "For God's sake! I am not that sort of wolf, I can prove it!"

     Then he jumped up again and kicked the woman.

     The woman was at Level 1 of the Infant Transformation Stage. However, thanks to the remaining power of the array, most of Buttface's strength was canceled out.
